Corporate newsrooms Exploring perceptions and experiences of newsroom structures in corporate contexts

Abstract 

In cooperation with industry partners, this project investigates the recent trend in corporate communication to adopt newsroom-like structures. The project aims to explore how this feautre of journalistic organizations is adapted into borader corporate business models as well as understand motivations and experiences in doing so. And more specifically, what is the role of AI in newsroom structures? What professional values do communication experts in newsrooms value? We approach these research questions a series of interviews with experts from central Swss industry and news organizations.
